Livelihood Dependency and Inequality in Community Forests of Nepal

This study is to examine empirically livelihood dependency and inequality of the community from forest in Nepal. used follow up survey data 2018 Kafle Community Forest Lamatar-6, Lalitpur District, The was collected household 48 sample household. Gini coefficient as analytical tool. As results, 67 percent households are absolute poor 23 relatively poor. excessively directly dependent on products forests for their daily objectives. found that contributed 45 income (firewood, leaf litter, grass, water etc.) forest-dependent households, along with service agriculture sources. Labor contribution based proportional distribution meet social economic justice. could get more benefit than well-off households. Additionally, declining among after being a member KCF. Without forests, 0.99. With sharply dropped at 0.64. Thus, reduce poverty level increasing security support. Therefore, an effective collective action sustainable management security.
